A WORD ABOUT THE SWAN
Can the modern mainstream media be the only news that is available to us? Being the global juggernaught that it is, can anyone hope to compete with such power? We sincerely hope so. And we hope you do too. Our agenda at The Swan Newspaper is to develop a groundswell, an impetus that grows into a global voice. We truly believe that we can make a difference, that a spark can ignite a flame, and flame can grow into a conflagration that ends the control of our literature, entertainment and media. The world wide mediaplex is now so powerful and manipulative that very little important information is filtering through to the masses. The Swan Newspaper wants to inform and direct it’s readers to better media choices and literature so that all of us can begin to make good decisions about how our world and our lives can be improved. We want to believe that we can be impartial and provide a voice for those that try to be heard but are shunned because their messages or opinions are not published unless they support a hegemonic insidious strategy. We choose to advertise for people who understand that the dollar will not sway our editorial integrity. We don’t claim to be perfect but we don’t desire to print and publish material that sells us all to mammon either.
From the team at The Swan Newspaper
Now, if you notice how the swan, putting its neck down into the deep water, brings up food for itself from below, then you will discover the wisdom of the Creator, in that He gave it a neck longer than its feet for this reason, that it might, as if lowering a sort of fishing line, procure the food hidden in the deep water. – Saint Basil
